For 44 years, Miss Kate Bonino taught school and, after retirement, substitute taught for another 12 years. During all those years, the boys and girls were spellbound as she told her famous stories. Throughout her life, she loved being called a "Storyteller."

A few years ago, Miss Kate set down, in her own hand, her collection of stories. She gave that collection to Louan Blankenship, who was a first grade teacher at that time. Louan has agreed to make stories from that collection available for viewing here. Although the words alone cannot begin to convey the full flavor of Miss Kate's storytelling, with her passing, all we're left with are the stories and the memories they evoke.
